IN THE END, LOVE IS WHAT MATTERS.
When we come to the end of our lives, we won’t care how much money we’ve made, how many letters we have after our name, how many Nobel Prizes, Oscars, or Grammies are on our shelves. What we will care about is how well we have loved the people around us.
There is a problem, however, with how we view love. We tend to view love as an emotion or a feeling. And so for this thing that is most important—if it is an emotion the best we can do is hope to feel more of it. Sometimes it works. Sometimes you just don’t feel it.
BUT WE BELIEVE LOVE ISN’T A FEELING.
